Creativity makes you grow - Saturday Chatter

This morning I watches the recent reboot of Conan, aka Conan the lackluster barbarian with no good lines. Well, that is not fair, nobody had good lines. And it took itself entirely too seriously. Which in the long run is generally a downfall of sword and sorcery movies, esp when they depend on fight scenes, repeating special effects, and naked breasts. Speaking of which.

There is a lot of talking going on about a sexual harassment incident at one of the Cons. Now as you may have noticed, the Saturday chatters have at least a dash of creative writing to speak of.

In this case one has to wonder, where is the border of sexual harassment? A lot of romance novels, at least from dipping into them, contain incidents that would be considered harassment but end up with heaving bosoms, yadda, yadda.

So where do we draw the line? As writers should there be a line? Do we have a duty to just follow our muse, or do we have a responsibility to minimalise the chance of future Conans. Or Conanette's given that sexual harassment is NOT always a male>female activity. It can be male<>male, female<>female and female>male.
