Personality: Although she is old in terms of human years, she is very much still young in elf years, thus making her personality less serious than that of an adult. Althea is known for being kind and gentle; traits that are befitting for a healer. However she is also quiet, withdrawn, shy of others around her and very soft spoken. She doesn?t like to be scolded, and works very hard to be praised.
Quirks: She?d rather talk to animals than converse with more humanoid species.
Likes: Wandering the forest on her own, singing, and making people happy
Dislikes: Girotos, wars, battles, and sweets
Biography:
Althea was born in the continent and nation of Eden. Her parents had named her after her grandmother of the same name. Her father, Altos, was a dark elf and her mother, Elena, was a normal elf. Her mother had a strangely weak body and was never able to bear a child. When Althea was born her mother used all her energy to give birth and passed away in the few days that followed. As a dark elf her father was seen as a prized soldier in the army. He served under Girotos? predecessor and died proudly in a battle.
Althea was a cheerful child and loved her family dearly. Her father didn?t go off into battle very often since times weren?t as unruly, but when he did there were chances he would be gone for days, weeks, or even months. When her father returned it was as if some of his spirit stayed in the battle. He would seem very week, but recuperated after a week or so. Her father doted on his only daughter and it was only when he returned from battles that he would ignore her. Each time he would go into battle she?d pray that he would come back home alive. She grew to dislike the battles that stole her father away from home and when a battle claimed the life of her father, her detest for battles grew.
Her grandmother raised Althea since she was born and discovered her potential as a high elf. Althea only studied healing, and never showed any interest in using weaponry. Her grandmother was a kind and gentle woman, passing on these traits to Althea. Not once has her grandmother ever raised her voice or her hand against her granddaughter. Before Girotos ascended the throne her grandmother would kindly ask the emperor to keep Althea out of battles, seeing that she was too young to experience the battle field. Althea was put to work but only tended to the minor wounds that would not traumatize or sicken a child. However when Girotos ascended to the throne he would have ordered Althea and her grandmother out of the castle if they were both not high elves. Even the conceited emperor knew the value of having a high elf in his possession.
To this day Althea lives with her grandmother in the luxury of the castle, but they are ordered around constantly to heal soldiers coming in from battles. Her grandmother simply obeys Girotos because she wants no harm to come to Althea. Althea does the same to protect her grandmother but she doesn?t completely hide her dislike for the new emperor. Because of him so many innocent citizens were being harmed and killed, and Althea wished she didn?t serve under such a person. She tended to many wounds, both minor and fatal, and she sympathized with those that were forced to fight in these ridiculous battles. Since Girotos mainly attacked innocent villages, healers were generally not needed on the battle field. However from time to time Girotos would send her grandmother to the battle field and Althea would accompany her to ensure her safety. She saw how innocent civilians would be killed in the midst of battle and all she could do was look away as Girotos' men committed mass murder.
In her free time Althea is trained by her grandmother or she wanders around in the nearby forest to get away from the presence of Girotos.

Before I accept the profile I would ask that you expand on the biography just a bit to make it a solid four to five paragraphs. Tell us about her relationship with her father before his death, tell us about her relationship with her Grandmother (was it strict, relaxed, or something in between?). Tell us about whether or not she was expected to understand weaponry, exposed to any level of violence which helped to shape her dislike for battle, or ever held any sort of romantic interest in any of her friends or fellow healers. Give us a stronger sense of what she's like.
I read your profile so I know that you're new, but you obviously have a lot of potential and I know that if you give it some thought that you'll easily be able to add two more paragraphs to the profile you have here. Do that, let me look it over, and I'll accept it afterwards because so far everything looks good.
