Having recently moved to Baltimore, I often found myself in areas I was completely unfamiliar with and would be hopelessly lost without GPS navigation.? In this day and age, most smartphones come with a built-in navigation system that tends to be more useful than actual stand-alone units.? I?ve tried various portable navigation devices, and either the maps are out of date or they just doesn?t want to send me the quickest route.? With most smartphones coming pre-loaded with a free built-in GPS that constantly updates and even speaks to you, the choice is clear.? However a new dilemma arises- how can one safely use this navigation while driving?
While many prefer to just keep the phone in their hand or pocket while attempting to navigate, this can be extremely dangerous on a major highway or any busy intersection.? And some being aware of the danger simply choose not to use their phone while driving, always a wise choice.? But this doesn?t help me and many others frustrated by third-party navigations, yet concerned with the danger of driving while operating a phone.? Thankfully the solution is simple: a car mount for your smartphone.? Today in the immense market of smartphones, manufacturers make dozens of different types of car mounts that allow drivers to stand their smartphones up at eye level without the danger of constant distraction.
I personally have a windshield mount just because my dash doesn?t have room, but they produce stands for dashboards and even ones that plug into your cigarette lighter.? Allowing the driver to navigate hands-free with only occasional glances at their GPS along with audio turn by turn directions makes for a much safer driving environment, and has kept me from getting into any accidents! We here at CE stock multiple types of smartphone car mounts in our AT&T stores, so just come into the nearest Communications Electronics store near you, and a sales associate will gladly help you with all your wireless needs. Without my smartphone?s safely mounted navigation, I might still be lost!
